Graham Offer, Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, has been announced as the winner of the 2025 Patient Choice Award at this year’s UHL Recognition Awards.
The Patient Choice Award is one of the most meaningful honours of the annual ceremony, as nominations come directly from patients, carers, and families. It recognises outstanding dedication, compassion, and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
This year’s UHL Recognition Awards received a record 750 nominations across 15 categories, acknowledging the achievements of staff who go above and beyond across Leicester’s hospitals.
Winners were announced at a ceremony held on 3 October 2025 at Athena, Leicester, attended by colleagues, senior leaders, and partner representatives.
Graham’s award was formally presented by Andrew Moore, Chair, and Richard Mitchell, Chief Executive, who commended his exceptional commitment to patient care and professional excellence. The award citation highlighted his hard work, determination, and passion in setting a high standard of excellence across the Trust.
Graham joined the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust in 2005 and has dedicated the past two decades to reconstructive and plastic surgery, specialising in breast reconstruction for women recovering from cancer.
His work combines surgical precision with a deeply patient-centred approach, helping individuals rebuild confidence and wellbeing following life-changing treatment.
Reflecting on the award, Graham said:

I am extremely grateful to all who nominated me, and to the colleagues and teams I work with every day. This acknowledgement is a reflection of our shared commitment to providing the highest standard of care.”
