“I’m no longer in pain, my confidence has soared, and I finally feel like the best version of myself.”
After years of discomfort, physical pain, and a lack of confidence, 55-year-old Lisa from Leicestershire decided it was time to make a change – and it’s one she hasn’t looked back on.
“I’ve been wanting to have this surgery for years,” Lisa shares. “I actually tried to get it done through the NHS 10 to 15 years ago, but unfortunately, I was rejected. Life carried on, but the physical strain didn’t go away.”

Where she used to shy away from the camera, she’s now proudly stepping into the frame.
“I used to be the person hiding at the back of every photo. Now I’m the one in the front! My confidence has come on leaps and bounds.”
Lisa was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward her recovery was. “The recovery wasn’t too bad actually. Within 6 to 8 weeks, I felt like I was back to normal. I healed really well and only needed painkillers during the first week.”
She also adds, with a smile, “They look so natural—I keep thinking, ‘Are they really mine?!'”
Looking back, Lisa is deeply grateful she took the leap.
