Breast reduction surgery is a quality of life operation. It is a cosmetic operation to make your breasts smaller, and sometimes to improve their shape. Breast reduction surgery would be beneficial if you are self-conscious about your larger breasts. Large breasts can lead to backache, neck ache, breast discomfort and, also the psychological effects of feeling out of proportion.
Breast reduction surgery is performed under a general anaesthetic and usually takes about an hour and a half. Graham will make an incision around the areola (the dark area around the nipple) as well as a vertical cut underneath your areola. Excess fat, skin, and breast tissue will be removed and your nipple will also be repositioned to a higher, more natural position.
Following your surgery, your breasts should be smaller, more lifted and have a better shape. Graham Offer has performed thousands of these procedures and is always delighted to see the result that the procedure has on the patient’s self-esteem and quality of life. With Graham’s expertise in breast reduction surgery, your safety, and well-being are guaranteed. You can trust in his skill and experience.

This patient has had a moderate reduction, which has also lifted the breasts. The scars settled well, although with darker skin sometimes the scars become slightly pigmented.

A breast reduction also reduces the size of the areola around the nipple, which then matches the smaller lifted breast.
This patient has very broad, flat and long breasts. It is difficult to narrow the breasts and difficult to give them projection from the chest wall. A reasonable result has been achieved by coning the breast tissue. There is a small area around the left areola that has been lost and formed a small scar. This will look fine longterm as it becomes less red. However, it illustrates the point that when the nipple needs to be lifted over 10 centimetres, then the risk of nipple loss increases. In smokers, the risk is significantly increased.

This was quite a large reduction, prior to surgery, the nipples were below the elbow. They’ve now been lifted, to a much higher position on the chest, as you can see from the photo. The scars are beginning to settle and initially, after going through a pink/red phase, they should go white by around six months post-surgery.
If you look at the before picture and see the moles on this patient’s tummy just below the right breast. Then look at the same moles in the postoperative picture. You can see how much the reduction has also lifted the breasts.

If you look at the scars, post-operatively by week six, the scars appear slightly red by six months (in most cases) they go white. Again look at the moles to see the amount of lift achieved.
In the preoperative picture, this lady appears to have very little waist. Following surgery, the breasts are brought more into balance with the rest of her figure.

This procedure gave this patient the confidence to wear a bikini.
As with all breast reduction, the areola diameter has been reduced because it is often larger on a large breast.

The larger reductions are more of a technical challenge. Often the breasts are attached lower on the chest wall. So they cannot be lifted as high. However, to the lady concerned, the procedure makes a big difference. Look at the moles, to see the lift.
This was a very large reduction. It made a huge difference to the patient. Please click on the pictures to see the front view. The risk of the nipple not surviving the procedure is slightly higher but there were no problems.
