Prominent Ear Correction

Prominent Ear Correction

Prominent ear correction or pinnaplasty is a cosmetic operation which improves the appearance of your ears. Prominent ear correction is only available privately if you are over 18. Graham Offer has performed hundreds of these procedures that have brought immense benefits to his patients and has made a significant impact in the lives of many.

You are most likely to benefit from prominent ear correction if you are self-conscious about the size or shape of your ears and they are causing you distress. A prominent ear correction procedure would be beneficial if you have unusually-shaped ears, ears that are large and tend to stick out, or are different from each other (asymmetrical). If your ears are only a little unusual, prominent ear correction will not make a significant difference. It is important to note that a pinnaplasty or prominent ear correction will not improve your physical health and should only be considered if the aim is to improve your self-confidence and to make you more comfortable with your appearance.

Prominent ear correction is usually performed under a local anaesthetic and typically takes around an hour. A small incision is made at the back of the ear and some skin carefully removed from the cartilage. The cartilage is then carefully reshaped to bring the ear closer to the head. To hold the ear in position and create natural-looking folds, stitches may be required. These will be dissolvable wherever possible. For some patients, a cut at the front of the ear may also be necessary to lightly score the cartilage and encourage it to bend towards the head.
